About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Commercial Lending to join their successful business banking team. The chosen candidate will be tasked with maintaining strong customer relationships, providing team leadership, and overseeing the development of two business bankers. This role requires the management of an existing commercial loan book of business, the development and management of commercial loan accounts to ensure profitability and minimal risk, and the representation of the company in the community through professional and civic involvement. The VP of Commercial Lending will also be responsible for underwriting and originating new credits, meeting with applicants, and guiding loans through the approval and closing process.Applicants for the VP of Commercial Lending position at the company should have a bachelor's degree in finance or a related area, a minimum of 15 years of experience in commercial lending, business development, and credit administration, and at least five years of previous leadership experience. The role demands a high level of personal accountability, strong credit knowledge, and analytical skills, as well as excellent communication, customer service, and organizational abilities. Proficiency in PC usage and standard office applications is also required.
