About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Patient Care Services for the Central Region. The successful candidate will be responsible for the quality of patient care, providing leadership, planning, coordination, and evaluation of operations in all areas of responsibility. This role involves ensuring safe and appropriate staffing, safe patient throughput, and overseeing the fiduciary responsibility of a large patient care operations budget. The Vice President will also be a key member of the regional executive leadership team, facilitating the achievement of the system's mission and goals. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as the role requires maintaining strong channels among nursing, medical staff, administration, and professional/technical/support departments.Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a Master's degree required, and one of the degrees must be in nursing. A Master's in Nursing, Health System's Management, or Public Health is preferred, and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice is also preferred. The ideal candidate will have a current, unencumbered RN license in the State of Connecticut, and at least 5 years' of progressive nursing leadership experience. The role demands a proven track record as an effective administrator, the ability to create and manage change, and a visible leadership style with excellent interpersonal communication skills. The Vice President will be expected to be an innovative, creative leader who can engage, coach, and mentor staff, and who is committed to the values of professionalism and respect in the delivery of quality care.
