About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Process Engineering to lead the design, scale-up, and optimization of cell therapy manufacturing processes. This pivotal role involves overseeing the late-stage process development for cell therapies, creating global technical standards, and ensuring the cost-effective production of cell therapy products from early development to commercialization. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and managing a multi-site organization, driving innovation, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Regulatory Affairs, is essential for the successful development of process engineering solutions.Candidates for this Executive Director position should have a Ph.D. or Master's degree in a relevant field, with a strong background in process engineering, particularly within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on cell therapy or biologics. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years' of experience in a leadership role, a proven track record in managing large, high-performing teams, and experience in cell therapy manufacturing, including process design, scale-up, and optimization. Skills in GxP compliance, data integrity, and a diversified experience in CMC development for cell therapeutics are also required. The role demands a leader with a passion for driving growth, a dedication to making a difference in the lives of patients, and the ability to inspire and lead a team with out-of-the-box thinking.
