OPPORTUNITY : Report to CFO, direct two staff while interfacing with cross-functional departments across five operating New England sites. Lead all HR aspects to include developing and administering policies relating to all phases of tactical duties and strategic initiatives. Focus on leadership, employee relationships, compliance law, HR Operations, compensation, safety administration, talent management, benefit administration, organizational development, onboarding, recruiting, policies and procedures, FMLA, worker’s compensation, HRIS, training and development programs all focused on refinement of policy, procedures and operations.


  • Develop and administer company-wide human resources policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with stated corporate objectives, federal and multi-state state legal requirements.
  • Promote positive employee relations through design, communication, and interpretation of HR policies and programs. Analyze data, prepare reports, and make recommendations on a variety of human resources issues.
  • Coordinate training programs, personal/career development, performance appraisal process, compensation systems, diversity, and benefit programs. Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Coordinate recruiting and retention strategies, succession planning process and handle exit interview process.
  • Coordinate employee-relations activities and programs including, but not limited to employee counseling, interpretation of policies, new employee orientation, and employee recognition programs.
  • Review employee relation’s issues and recommend appropriate responses to management.
  • Prepare and monitor human resources budget.
  • Negotiate contracts with outside vendors to provide employee services.
  • Hire, train, supervise, motivate, and develop HR staff; manages schedules and workflow. Assign duties and monitor quality of work; assure staff conforms to all policies and government regulations.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and oversight of subordinates; promote and recognize performance.
  • Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting, and help to resolve work-related problems.
  • Manage employee documentation such as Employee Handbook, policies & procedures and ensure compliance with employment practices and governmental regulations.
  • Perform all staffing duties. Identify vacancies recruit, interview and select applicants. Plan and conduct new employee orientation.
  • Plan, organize, direct, and coordinate personnel training, or labor relations activities. Conduct investigations on all employee relation issues.
  • Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, and opportunities for promotion and employee benefits.
  • Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates.


REQUIREMENTS : MS or SHRM and/or Safety (OSHA 30, CSP or CHSP) certification preferred plus, BS or BA Business with 7+ years of HR experience with 3years in a leadership role. Prefer experience for multi-site operations that include non-union and union employees. Union experience is a plus. Full time on site role with some travel to five locations in New England as least one time per quarter. U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required. No relocation !


REWARD : $140,000 to $165,000 (depending on experience) plus bonus, benefits.
