LHH is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join a dynamic and fast-growing law firm in Charlotte, NC. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong litigation experience to work closely with a team of attorneys and assist in managing complex litigation matters from discovery through trial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in all phases of discovery, including document management and review, document production, written discovery, and depositions.
- Cite-check legal memoranda and other legal documents.
- Conduct research on case filings, public records, and background information.
- Draft, review, and proofread legal documents such as motions, memoranda, affidavits, and pleadings.
- File documents in federal and state courts, both electronically and in hard copy.
- Assist with preparation for hearings, arbitrations, and trials, and attend as needed.
- Serve as a mentor and subject matter expert for junior and mid-level paralegals.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Regular in-person attendance is required to perform essential functions of the position.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred, along with a paralegal certificate or a degree in paralegal studies.
- Experience : A minimum of 10+ years of experience in the litigation practice area, particularly with large, complex cases and/or government investigations.
- Technical Skills : Proficiency with MS Office Suite, litigation and e-discovery platforms (e.g., Relativity), and case management software.
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent communication and client service skills.
- Preferred : Experience working in highly regulated industries or with a global law firm.
