LHH is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our litigation and family law team in Palm Coast, FL . The position will start out as contract to hire and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful legal work while supporting attorneys in all phases of case management, including legal research, document preparation, and trial preparation. Key Responsibilities:
- Legal Research & Writing: Conduct thorough legal research and assist in drafting memos, briefs, pleadings, and correspondence under attorney supervision.
- Document Management: Organize, maintain, and update case files and legal documents in accordance with confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Case Preparation: Support attorneys with trial preparation, hearings, and client meetings by managing logistics, scheduling, and document preparation.
- Client Interaction: Serve as a liaison between clients, attorneys, and external parties, providing updates and obtaining necessary documentation.
- Administrative Support: Assist with managing calendars, coordinating meetings, and other administrative tasks, working alongside a Legal Assistant.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s degree required (Paralegal Certificate or relevant experience may be accepted). A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm or legal department. Experience in litigation and family law is a plus.
- Skills: Strong legal research and writing capabilities.
- Proficient in legal research databases and case management software.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
- Other Requirements: Familiarity with court procedures, legal terminology, and a commitment to maintaining high ethical and professional standards.
