Ascendo Resources is currently seeking a Facilities Manager for a full-time role located in Brooklyn, New York.

Our client is a top leader in the entertainment industry, known across the country. This position is fully on-site, is approximately 9am to 5pm, and offers full benefits (health, dental, PTO, and 401k).

Who You Are:

• Building Engineer with 3+ years of experience with industrial and/or commercial properties
• Must be previously certified in S95, DOH, and/or OSHA
• Must have knowledge of building systems: fire, water, mechanical, electrical, and HVAC, among others
• Must be able to be on-call during nights and weekends for events

What You Will be Doing:

• Main point of contact for landlord related contractors and R&M
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing and mechanical systems
• Responsible for the general upkeep of venue property and coordinating with necessary third party contractors for cleaning, pest control, weed maintenance, cleaning equipment rentals, fence maintenance, parking lot and sidewalk cleanliness, trash/dumpster pick-up, porta-potty vendors, and related
• Responsible for creating and maintaining all R&M projects and the delegation of related tasks
• Manage energy usage and conservation, ensuring all departments are utilizing energy efficiently and appropriately; review protocols and provide guidance on controlling costs
• Upkeep fire systems (alarms, pumps, sprinklers) and extinguishers; schedule maintenance and log monthly testing
• Maintenance and operation of life saving equipment, such as defibrillators and first aid medic equipment; work with operations to maintain inventory
• Ensure venue is operating in accordance with OSHA/ANSI standards
• Ensure company safety and security policies and procedures are being followed
• Manage Facilities staff schedule, maintaining labor availability, scheduling, and costs
• Responsible for maintaining log of safety walk-throughs and ensuring team is completing them with accuracy – exit signs, push bars, keycards/access control, plumbing, electrical, flooring, roofing, stairwells, bathrooms, F&B areas, etc
• Responsible for interviewing, hiring/termination, and resolving departmental conflicts through coaching and counseling
• Winter specific: manage heaters, generators, and any other equipment needed to keep the building warm and prevent pipes from bursting; manage snow removal
• Respond to facility emergencies and perform troubleshoot repairs as necessary
• Assist in the implementation of preventive maintenance schedules for all building systems
• Collaborate with other departments for specific needs related to event setups and operational logistics
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
• Assist with facility upgrades, renovations, and special projects as assigned
