Job Posting: Facilities Manager

Compensation: $100k - $120k
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager with a strong background in facilities maintenance, particularly within the Entertainment/Hospitality space, to manage the upkeep and operations of our venue, warehouse, and office spaces in Brooklyn, NY. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing commercial or industrial properties and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of facility maintenance, safety, and logistics while ensuring the efficient operation of all systems and equipment.
Who You Are:
- Experienced: 3+ years in Facilities Management, preferably in the Entertainment/Hospitality industry, with experience managing commercial or industrial properties.
- Certified: Hold F-04 and F-07 certifications.
- Knowledgeable: Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
- Bilingual: Fluent in both English and Spanish.
- Reliable: Available to work 5 days a week on-site in Brooklyn, New York, and on-call during nights and weekends for emergency situations.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Collaborate with the production team on heavy machinery, work safety, security, and client walk-throughs.
- Manage and oversee the hiring/firing process and resolve departmental conflicts within your team.
- Develop and maintain the Facilities staff schedule, ensuring labor availability, scheduling, and cost management.
- Act as the primary point of contact for landlord-related contractors.
- Coordinate the upkeep of the venue property, working with third-party contractors for pest control, weed maintenance, generators, fuel deliveries, cleaning equipment rentals, electricians, fence maintenance, parking lot cleanliness, trash removal, porta-potty vendors, and all other infrastructure-related needs.
- Design and propose plans for the implementation of renewable energy systems.
- Maintain and service HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Oversee the creation and management of facility-related projects, delegating tasks and responsibilities as needed.
- Collaborate with operations managers to strategize and coordinate operational venue setup and logistics.
- Ensure maintenance and testing of fire safety systems (alarms, pumps, sprinklers) and extinguishers.
- Ensure all operations comply with OSHA/ANSI standards.
- Monitor and maintain company safety and security policies, ensuring all procedures are followed.
- Keep a log of safety walk-throughs and ensure they are being completed accurately by the team.
- In winter, manage heaters, generators, and any other equipment to keep the building warm and prevent issues like pipe bursts. Oversee snow removal operations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in Facilities Management, particularly in commercial/industrial properties (preferably within the Entertainment/Hospitality industry).
- F-04 and F-07 certifications required.
- Expertise in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to manage schedules, budgets, and staff efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work on-site and be available for emergencies on nights and weekends.
- Strong understanding of safety standards and compliance regulations, including OSHA/ANSI.
