About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Business Development with a focus on the government sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the full spectrum of business development processes, including strategic planning, marketing, relationship building, networking, market research, pipeline development, opportunity identification, capture planning, team formation, and proposal development. This role requires a professional with a proven track record in government contracting, particularly in the DOD, Civilian, and/or Intel markets, and a strong federal network in the Washington, DC area. The VP will be expected to assist in defining the company's goals, target agencies, and market segments, as well as to attract customers and create awareness of the company's brand and offerings. Applicants for the Vice President of Business Development position at the company should have a minimum of 10-15 years' of experience in government contracting, with at least 5 years' of proven success in business development. The role demands a candidate with the ability to understand and craft customer solutions, experience with GSA's OASIS family of vehicles, and a strong background in proposal writing in response to government RFPs. The ideal candidate will be professionally ambitious, tenacious, and possess a sense of urgency and accountability to drive results. A Bachelor's degree is required, and the candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Office. The role is 100% remote, based in the Washington, DC region, and may require up to 25% travel. U.S. Citizenship is mandatory, with a Secret clearance preferred.
