Executive Search - Vice President of Finance – Orlando, FL
Korn Ferry has been exclusively retained to recruit a Vice President of Finance for a private equity-backed facility services company headquartered in Orlando, FL. This pivotal role will serve as the top finance leader, reporting directly to the President. The company is experiencing significant growth following a substantial investment from a private equity firm and has ambitious plans to expand by 50% over the next five years.
The Vice President of Finance will collaborate closely with the President to drive key initiatives, including establishing and optimizing financial processes, developing and tracking key performance indicators, and leading the finance team to enhance both operational and financial performance. This is an in-office role based in Orlando, FL, with full relocation assistance provided.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and develop the finance team, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Controller, and Assistant Controller.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the President, managing daily financial operations to support organizational growth initiatives.
- Oversee all aspects of Finance, Accounting, Tax, and Information Systems while supporting operational functions. Manage financial reporting, budgeting, audits, taxes, treasury, cash management, banking, capital markets, insurance, and investor relations. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and implement financial management best practices.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational and financial improvements. Provide accurate, timely reports on company performance and analyze pricing, product margins, and SKU profitability to identify growth opportunities.
- Manage cash flow, capital allocation, and strategic debt utilization to support operational efficiency and growth.
- Evaluate and enhance accounting controls across the organization, ensuring compliance and implementing best practices.
- Maintain strong banking and lending relationships, ensuring financial flexibility and compliance with covenants.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 15+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience, ideally in small distribution or manufacturing-focused organizations.
- Operational expertise in process improvement and delivering measurable results.
- Advanced skills in FP&A, budgeting, and operational efficiency.
- Strong analytical capabilities in pricing, margin analysis, and cost optimization.
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP or similar systems.
- Proven success in managing audits and banking relationships, including covenant compliance in a leveraged environment.
