Financial Analyst at Major Manufacturing Firm Join a renowned brand in the manufacturing sector as a Financial Analyst in Indianapolis, Indiana. You will be responsible for carrying out sophisticated financial analyses, managing forecasting, budgeting tasks, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Salary: $75,000.00 - $79,000.00 per year Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead the weekly yield loss reporting process, including inventory adjustments and analysis of yield performance trends. Prepare comprehensive weekly labor reports and conduct variance analyses. Manage monthly forecasting for Maintenance Spend and coordinate weekly meetings with MRO buyers to ensure alignment with forecasts. Conduct weekly financial meetings to discuss results with operations and leadership teams. Analyze monthly overhead spending by department, collaborating closely with cost center owners for budget adherence. Support the development and compilation of the annual operating plan, focusing on yield and overhead accounts. Engage in month-end and quarter-end close activities, ensuring all assigned tasks and journal entries are completed accurately; involve analyzing variances to plan. Participate actively in both plant-wide and finance-specific projects, providing financial analysis support for cost savings and tracking initiatives. Drive continuous improvement and participate in CPS (Continuous Process Simplification) activities within the plant. Minimum Position Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or current enrollment in such a program nearing completion. At least 2 years of professional experience in accounting or financial roles. Solid understanding of financial systems and general accounting principles. Strong analytical skills are essential. High proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, and familiarity with pivot tables. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in the manufacturing or distribution sectors. Experience with SAP or other equivalent enterprise financial software. Skills: Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with a keen attention to detail. Advanced proficiency in Excel for financial modeling and data analysis. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with multiple levels of the organization. Ability to adapt to new challenges and derive solutions from scratch.
