Quality Management Leader in Automotive Plastics Join our esteemed company with over 40 years of experience in plastics manufacturing for the automotive industry. As a Quality Management Leader, you will spearhead the development and maintenance of our quality system, ensuring that we meet or exceed all internal and external customer expectations in product quality and performance. Your strategic role will oversee quality operations, focusing on continuous improvement and optimal productivity within a dynamic manufacturing environment. Salary: $95,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Direct and oversee the launch of new products ensuring compliance with APQP and PPAP activities. Manage and lead the plant quality department, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations. Ensure compliance with established processes and procedures for product inspection in alignment with the Quality Management System (QMS). Identify quality training needs and implement training sessions to enhance employee performance and knowledge. Participate in APQP project teams contributing to the successful launch and implementation of projects. Develop, standardize, and implement best practices and lessons learned at the plant level. Actively support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the company. Monitor and track quality metrics from the QMS, formulate strategic action plans for achieving targeted results. Manage customer complaints, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Drive activities towards achieving customer certifications and maintaining industry quality registrations. Coordinate with other managers to troubleshoot day-to-day operational challenges, aiming for enhanced product and process quality. Engage directly with customers during plant visits to ensure product quality and gather feedback. Facilitate internal quality audits and promote activities for continual improvement and compliance. Report critical quality KPIs and customer feedback to General Manager and Corporate Quality for strategic review and actions. Minimum Position Qualifications: At least 5 years of experience in Quality Management within a plant environment. Bachelor's degree in a related field. Proficient understanding of Quality Management Systems and certifications. Strong leadership capabilities and experience managing a team. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Familiarity with plastics injection molding and assembly processes. Ability to travel occasionally to customer sites. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree in Engineering or Management. Professional certifications in Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO Auditor). Experience in automotive industry plastics manufacturing highly preferred. Prior experience in leading cross-functional teams for project success. Demonstrated ability to drive change and innovation within quality processes. Skills: Advanced skills in data analysis and performance metrics evaluation. Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards pertaining to the automotive and plastics industries.
