About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to lead and manage the strategic and operational HR functions. The CHRO will be a key member of the Executive Management Team, responsible for providing agency-wide leadership, strategic direction, and oversight of HR programs and staff. This role involves working closely with division and caseload leaders, employees, labor organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure the agency's HR practices align with its mission, vision, and values. The successful candidate will be tasked with high-level oversight of training, recruitment, onboarding, classification, compensation, and HR data integrity programs, with a strong focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Additionally, the CHRO will manage employee and labor relations, workforce planning, employee engagement, and retention, as well as lead the agency in establishing and maintaining compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.Applicants for the CHRO position at the company must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for an advanced degree, and at least 5 years' of senior-level HR, labor relations, or management experience. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in strategic planning, change management, and a strong commitment to customer and public service. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills, and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities. Experience in labor relations, including collective bargaining, and a professional HR certification are also preferred. The CHRO will be expected to promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and to support the agency's Pro-Equity Anti-Racism plan.
