Labor and Employment Law Attorney Join a prestigious San Diego-based law firm as a Labor and Employment Law Attorney. This role offers a unique opportunity to handle complex legal matters in employment litigation and advisory services. The successful candidate will work on high-stakes cases involving discrimination, harassment, wage disputes, and more, providing expert legal advice and support to a diverse client base. Salary: $160,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Act as legal representative for employers in a variety of employment litigation matters such as discrimination, harassment, retaliation claims, and wage and hour disputes. Prepare and manage all phases of litigation including drafting motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda. Conduct thorough legal research and manage comprehensive discovery processes integral to case success. Handle depositions, interview witnesses, and strategically manage case developments. Provide legal advice on compliance issues surrounding ADA, FMLA, CFRA, and other employment laws and regulations. Engage in labor relations tasks including negotiations, handling grievances, and arbitrations when necessary. Minimum Position Qualifications: At least 4-7 years of substantive experience in employment litigation. Detailed understanding and application of California employment laws. Proven capabilities in legal research, drafting, and effective discovery management. Must be admitted to the California Bar. Demonstrates exceptional analytical, research, and writing skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in federal and multi-state employment law issues is beneficial. Trial or arbitration experience is highly desirable. Proven track record of negotiating and resolving complex legal matters effectively. Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and court personnel. Excellent organizational skills for handling a significant volume of cases efficiently. High-level problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically. Adaptability and willingness to tackle new challenges and legal questions as they arise. Commitment to maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the law and continuous professional development.
